Product Description: Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, a daily chemical grade synthetic polymer prepared by chemical modification of natural cellulose. Cellulose ether is a derivative of natural cellulose, and its production process is different from synthetic polymers. Its basic raw material is cellulose, a natural polymer compound. Due to the unique structure of natural cellulose, cellulose itself does not have the ability to react with etherification agents. However, after treatment with a swelling agent, the strong hydrogen bonds between and within the molecular chains are disrupted, and the activity of hydroxyl groups is released, converting into active alkali cellulose. Through reaction with an etherification agent, hydroxyl groups are converted into adjacent hydroxyl groups, thereby obtaining cellulose ether.
Daily chemical grade premium hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is a white or slightly yellow powder that is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic. It can dissolve in solvents mixed with cold water and organic matter, forming a transparent viscous solution. This aqueous solution has surface activity, high transparency, strong stability, and its dissolution in water is not affected by pH value. It has thickening and antifreeze effects in shampoo and shower gel, and can maintain the moisture and good film-forming properties of hair and skin. With the significant increase in basic raw materials, the use of cellulose (antifreeze thickener) in shampoo and shower gel can significantly reduce costs while still achieving the expected results.

Thickening and texture improvement
Maintaining a stable and ideal texture is crucial for the user experience in many liquid detergents and cleaning agents. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), as a thickener, can improve product texture and ensure its effective adhesion to various surfaces, whether it is tableware, countertops, or clothing. This thickening property can also prevent the product from becoming too thin, ensuring that it remains highly efficient and clean during use.
Stability and shelf life
The formula for detergents and cleaning agents can be complex, containing multiple active ingredients that need to be kept thoroughly mixed and stable. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) helps prevent phase separation and solid component precipitation, ensuring product homogeneity. This stability is crucial for the shelf life of the product, as users expect the product to maintain stable performance over the long term.
Controlled release of active ingredients
Some detergents and cleaning agents contain enzymes, bleach, or fragrances that need to be slowly released to achieve optimal results. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) can be used as a controlled-release agent to gradually release these active ingredients during use, thereby improving overall cleaning effectiveness.
Reduce foam
Although some cleaning products need rich foam, not all products do. Too much foam will make the clean surface difficult to see, especially when using dishwashing agents and detergents. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) helps to control the amount of foam, ensure that the product produces enough foam to achieve the purpose of effective cleaning, while not making users feel uncomfortable.
Enhance adhesion
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) in household care products plays a crucial role in laundry detergent, ensuring that the detergent solution adheres firmly to the fabric surface and effectively removes stains. This enhanced adhesion is particularly important for removing oil or grease stains from clothing.
Improved cleaning performance
Ultimately, the presence of HPMC in detergents and cleaning agents enhances its overall cleaning performance. HPMC ensures effective penetration and decomposition of stains, dust, and dirt by controlling viscosity, stability, and surface tension, thereby providing users with an excellent cleaning experience.
Environmentally friendly formula
In today's increasingly environmentally conscious world, there is a growing demand for eco-friendly detergents and cleaning agents. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) is a biodegradable and non-toxic additive, making it an ideal choice for formulating products that are both environmentally friendly and maintain cleanliness.
Washing liquid:
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) can improve the dispersibility of cleaning agents, thereby enhancing the performance of laundry detergent and ensuring the long-term effectiveness of the product. Its compatibility with other ingredients enables it to be formulated into high-performance laundry detergent.
