Tile cement mortar is used to attach tiles on concrete or block walls. It comprises cement, sand, limestone, HPMC and various additives, ready to be mixed with water before use.
Normal tile cement is usually economic mortar which has lower content of cement and RDP (Redispersible polymer powder) than standard tile cement. RDP is optional additive (below 1% in dry mortar).
Standard tile cement (C1) is cementitious adhesive as prescribed in EN12004.
Adhesion Strength after drying of this tile cement should be more than 0.5N/mm2, and the dosage of Headcel is generally about 0.3 to 0.4% in dry mortar to reach this level.
High performance tile cement (C2) is a special cementitious adhesive with additional characteristics as prescribed in EN12004.
Adhesion Strength of this tile cement should be more than 1.0N/mm2, and the dosage is generally 0.4 to 0.6%. It is the highest level used in tile cement mortar.
